During the show, we spoke with 3 callers. We discussed the proposed energy bill in the House, nuclear power, pollution, South Carolina Governor Sanford's admission of infidelity, the Iranian election, brand loyalty, and college aid.

Tonight was a slightly shortened show. During the first hour, we discussed President Obama's proposals to overhaul financial regulations, the 'cash-for-clunkers' proposals pending in Congress, and the proposed Travel Promotion Act of 2009.

During the second hour, we spoke with 4 callers. We discussed government funded healthcare, the U.S. economy problems, legislating compassion, and aging populations.

This program is dedicated to the memory of Bill Wertz, 1954-2009.

During the first hour, we discussed ramped up federal efforts to spend economic stimulus money. We also touched on bankruptcy protections and 'one-item' legislation.

During the second and third hours, we spoke with 6 callers. We acknowledged the passing of our friend, Wertz, and shared our memories of him. We also discussed the Chrysler sale to Fiat and its bankruptcy, our service-based economy, the America's Debate Year in Review Awards, the expenses scandal in the UK, book recommendations, and the future of the auto industry.
