During the first hour, we opened with President Bush's address to the nation on the economy. After that, we discussed the numerous federal bailout efforts, McCain's announcement that he is suspending his campaign because of the nation's economic problems, and whether or not the presidential debates will go on as scheduled for Friday, September 26th.

During the second hour, we spoke with 3 callers and discussed the federally-backed bailouts, the usefulness of credit ratings, the upcoming presidential debates, the media's role in the elections, and whether or not America's credit issues can be overcome.

During the first hour, we discussed the GOP Convention, McCain's VP pick of Sarah Palin, and the upcoming presidential election.

During the second hour, we had a somewhat-unusual set up for the show. We took a few calls to discuss the GOP convention and GOP VP pick. During the middle of our second hour, we cut to the VP nominee Sarah Palin's speech at the GOP convention. We combined the second and third hours into one segment and spoke with a total of 4 callers. Of course, discussed the GOP convention, Palin, and the campaigns in general.
