During the first hour, we discussed the Iranian President's visit to the UN and US and his various speeches. We also discussed the President and Congress being at odds over budgeting issues. Related to that, we also covered the passage of more funding for the State Children's Health Insurance Program. We ended this hour discussing a new request by the President for even more funding for the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

During the second hour, we spoke with 2 callers and discussed social security spending, illegal immigration, and the 2008 election.

The 84th edition of America's Debate Radio with Mike and Jaime.

During the first hour, we discussed General Petraeus and Ambassador Crocker’s briefings to Congress on the Iraq war troop surge. We also talked about a recent federal court ruling regarding ‘national security letters.’ In addition to that, we covered the latest on Senator Craig and his withdrawal of his guilty plea stemming from charges over his alleged actions in a Minnesota airport restroom. We rounded out the first hour with coverage of the potential nominees to replace Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.

During the second hour, we spoke with 4 callers and discussed presidential election primaries, Rudy Giuliani's use of 9/11 as a campaign tool, Senator McCain's League of Democracies proposal, campaign fundraiser and recently apprehended fugitive Norman Hsu, campaign fundraising, Rosh Hoshanah, hot peppers, and the 2008 election.
