Our 70th show. We discussed the actual passage of an Iraq-Afghanistan spending bill along with the domestic spending add-ons, including an increase in minimum wage. We also discussed national ID cards for employment eligibility as part of the Senate's proposed immigration legislation, the U.S. funding the Mexican government's wiretapping program, legislation passed by the House of Representatives making spyware and phishing scams a federal crime, and the U.S. as the world's policeman. We spoke to 3 callers. The show lasted a little over 3 hours.

We discussed the latest attempts by Congress to pass an Iraq/Afghanistan war spending bill, the Senate's latest draft for immigration reform, potential no-confidence vote by Congress on Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, the President's new 'war czar' Army Lt. General Douglas Lute, the upcoming expiration on the internet access tax ban, G-8 security restrictions, the revised fliers' 'bill of rights', and Bill Gates predictions on the future of technology. We were unable to take calls this week. The show lasted a little over 3 hours.
